Syrian Angels Club · by Ebla Ventures

A generation left with suitcases.
It comes back as capital.

A private circle of accomplished Syrians, and friends of Syria, backing the country's new generation of founders: deal by deal, with people you trust beside you.

Next cohort: applications open Ten seats Begins mid October 2026

The moment

Syria is being rebuilt by founders. The question is whether you are in the room.

Founders are building

A new generation is starting companies at home: in software, logistics, energy, food, health. They are not waiting.

Rounds are closing

Real deals with real terms are being done now, with or without you. The earliest checks buy the deepest relationships.

The door is open

For the first time in years there is a credible, structured way to take part, without carrying the complexity yourself.

The way in

Syrian Angels Lab: the next cohort.

One month. Seven live sessions. Ten people. You leave ready to write your first check in a Syrian startup, with a real opportunity already on the table.

Week 1
Kickoff and the investor's playbookYour thesis, your budget, and how to read a startup
The terms that matterSAFEs, valuation, dilution, check sizing
Week 2
Syria: the opportunity and the risksSectors, honest risk, and how Ebla works on the ground
★ The special guest sessionAn open conversation with a seasoned investor: the calls they got right, and wrong
Week 3
The deal memo workshopRead and score a real memo, together
Meet the capstone founderLive pitch and open questions with the company you may back
Week 4
The capstone decisionFinal terms on a real deal. Write your first check, or take your seat in the Club and wait for the one that fits.

Between sessions: private office hours with advisors, one to one.

Speakers and coaches

Taught by people who have written the checks.

Every session is led by practitioners, not lecturers: angels, fund partners, and operators from the region and its diaspora. Each cohort's full roster, including the special guest, is shared with admitted applicants first.

Seasoned angel investors

They teach evaluation and terms the way they learned them: with their own money.

Venture fund partners

They see hundreds of deals a year, and show you how to judge one in an hour.

Operators and founders

They built companies in and around the region, and teach what memos cannot.

★ The special guest

One session, one open conversation. Each cohort learns the name first.

The capstone

You graduate deal ready.

The final session puts a real allocation in front of you: a vetted Syrian startup, terms on the table, advisors beside you. Some members write their first check right there. Others take their seat in the Club and wait for the opportunity that fits. Both graduate. The first check is the hardest. When you choose to write it, you will not write it alone.

After the Lab

The Lab lasts a month. The Club is for good.

Graduates take a standing seat in Syrian Angels Club: continuous, curated deal flow and a circle that compounds, year after year.

Every quarter

The working session, online

Deals on the table, portfolio updates, and the whole network in one room.

Every year

The homecoming, in Damascus

The full network and portfolio in one gathering, in person, at home.

Already an experienced angel? A small number of members join the Club directly, against the same bar. Say so in your application.

The bar

Ten seats. A clear bar.

You can invest in more than one deal, at check sizes that fit you.
You will show up: seven sessions, office hours, and the capstone.
You bring more than capital: expertise, networks, doors you can open.
Your commitment to Syria is genuine and long term.
A seat here is not for everyone. The Lab is built for people who intend to invest, whether in the capstone deal or in one that follows through the Club. If you are collecting certificates, this is not the right room, and that is fine.

Questions

Asked and answered.

How much time does this take?

Seven live sessions across one month, one or two each week, plus optional one to one office hours. Sessions are scheduled to suit working executives across time zones.

Do I need investing experience?

No. The Lab assumes intelligence and seriousness, not experience. If you are already an experienced angel, you can apply to join the Club directly against the same bar.

Do I have to invest to graduate?

No. The Lab presents real opportunities and gives you everything you need to write your first check with confidence. Many members invest in the capstone deal; others take their Club seat and wait for the opportunity that fits them. When you move is your call. That you know how to move is ours.

What size checks do members write?

Sizes vary by member and by deal. The application asks for your range so the program can be calibrated to you.

Where does everything happen?

Lab sessions are online. The Club meets online each quarter and gathers in person in Damascus once a year.

What happens after the month?

Membership in Syrian Angels Club: continuous curated deal flow, the quarterly working sessions, and the annual homecoming in Damascus.

Who is behind this?

Syrian Angels Club is by Ebla Ventures, a venture platform backing Syrian startups deal by deal. Ebla team runs the program; the speakers and coaches above deliver it.

Ten seats. One first check.

The next cohort of Syrian Angels Lab begins mid October 2026.
